A propos de cet article

5 3/4 X 8 3/4 Inches. 900 PP. Owned and boldly signed by Draper Daniels (Mad Men) on the FFEP! Dated while Daniels was at Syracuse College. As one might suspect, this college textbook that was once owned by the Madison Avenue advertising giant looks to be unused. I'm sure copies of other books on Daniels shelf while at Syracuse were used plenty, this one looks like he bought it, signed it and shelved it. Ironically, he held onto this book when he retired and moved to Naples, FL. Front hinge is starting, but a very attractive copy overall. A perfect gift for anyone in the advertising industry. Draper Daniels (1913-1983), 20th Century advertising icon and model for the character "Don Draper" on AMC's "Madmen" television series. Draper was a visionary in the world of modern advertising born in the 1950's and 60's. While serving as Creative Head of Leo Burnett advertising, he is widely known for The Marlboro Man, the Jolly Green Giant, Elsie the Borden Cow, Charlie Tuna (Star Kist) and Tony the Tiger among many others. Daniels would later leave Leo Burnett in favor of his own company, Draper Daniels, Inc., which he ran alongside his second wife, Myra Janco Daniels. In 1962, President John F. Kennedy appointed Daniels to the position of National Export Coordinator for the United States. (NOTE: Myra's 2009 Chicago Magazine article "I Married a Mad Man" is easily found online and is the perfect introduction to the real Don Draper AKA Draper Daniels.).…

The stock at Back in Time is officially classified as General Antiquarian, but the truth of the matter is that the stock is a smattering of historical pieces that have found their way beyond the gates of Endor. You see, Mike has two great loves in his professional life - American History & Pop Culture of the late 20th Century.
