Thick folio. xxii, 1264, [2], 424pp. Illustrated from more than 900 engravings. Purple calf boards decoratively stamped in blind, the spine has raised bands ornately stamped in gilt making six compartments each repeating a decorative device stamped in blind save for the second compartment from the top within which is a dark red leather label bordered in gilt with "Holy Bible" stamped in gilt, all page edges gilt, and marbled endpapers. Boards and edges worn and scuffed with some wear along the spine, corners and spine ends bumped, light scattered foxing throughout, overall very good. Unlike most family Bibles of this era, the family records pages come before The Old Testament. Contains the family records of James Fleming Milligan and Marion Kinnaird, who appear to have been married in Scotland in 1869 but both passed away in Canada in 1910 and 1924 respectfully. Laid in is a homemade bookmark consisting of a needlepoint piece affixed to a ribbon, the needlepoint reads "Remember Me.". N° de réf. du vendeur 618520
