- Livre 1 sur 10: True Devotion to Mary
“St. Louis-Marie de Montfort promises you that the devotion to Mary which this book helps you practice, will skyrocket your devotion to her more than any other devotion, because this devotion…”
“…is a path trodden by Jesus Christ, the Incarnate Wisdom, our sole Head. One of His members in passing by the same road cannot deceive himself” (“True Devotion to Mary”, 168).
And also because he said the Holy Spirit revealed this devotion to him. He writes…
“Predestinate soul, here is a secret the Most High has taught me, which I have not been able to find in any book, old or new. I confide it to you, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit” (“The Secret of Mary”, 1).
Read on to find out about the benefits and advantages this book brings to you.
First of all, St. Louis-Marie declares that this devotion to Mary brings you closer to God than any other devotion, because it’s…
“…more glorious to God, more sanctifying to the soul, and more useful to the neighbor, than any other of the devotions to her” (True Devotion, 118).
He calls this devotion to Mary…
“…a secret unknown to almost all Christians, even the most devout” (True Devotion, 177).
Fr. Henri-Marie Boudon was one of the few people who knew this secret. He explains this secret so well, that this became St. Louis-Marie’s favorite Marian book.
It was for him what the Wright brothers were to travel.
Montfort Father Jean-Marie Texier stated…
“The writings of this holy priest (Fr. Boudon) charmed the fervent seminarian (St. Louis-Marie) in his free time and gave a lively impulse to his momentum toward the good. But none captivated him as much as “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”.
“It is a rich repertoire from which Montfort drew extensively when he composed his “Treatise on the True Devotion”. One finds, in effect, in the writings of Montfort, the thoughts of Boudon, and sometimes even his expressions.”
“St. Louis-Marie points out your two options…”
Option 1: You can ignore this devotion. He warns…
“It is true that we can attain to divine union by other roads; but it is by many more crosses and exceptional setbacks, and with many more difficulties, which we shall find it hard to overcome” (True Devotion, 152).
Because of that, as you might imagine, not imitating Jesus’ devotion to Mary is like trying to use a hammer on a screw.
Option 2: You can use this book to help you imitate Jesus’ devotion to Mary, which he calls…
“…a path of roses and honey compared with the other paths” (True Devotion, 152).
God tells us through St. Paul…
“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” (1 Cor. 10:31).
St. Louis-Marie assures you…
“This devotion, faithfully practiced, is an excellent means of making sure that the value of all our good works shall be employed for the greatest glory of God” (True Devotion, 151).
God the Father also tells us through St. Paul, that He wants you “to be made conformable to the image of His Son” (Rom. 8:29).
St. Louis-Marie emphasizes that this devotion to Mary will bring you that transformation.
That’s the reason why he declares…
“Oh, how highly we glorify God, when, to please Him, we submit ourselves to Mary, after the example of Jesus Christ, our sole Model!” (True Devotion, 18)
Act now to let Mary increase your happiness, because when you practice this devotion to her, St. Louis-Marie promises…
“…you will find so many rich fruits of grace in this practice that you will be surprised and filled with joy” (Secret, 53).
Click the button above and claim your copy now, because St. Louis-Marie also assures you…
“Only experience can teach the wonders wrought by Mary, wonders so great that neither the wise nor the proud, nor even many of the devout can believe them” (Secret, 57).

Présentation de l'éditeur
Announcing an “apprenticeship program” for aspiring Saints.
Now you can learn the exact same “program” St. Louis de Montfort used to become the Gold Standard of Marian Saints.
“You can become a Saint.” When 99 out of a 100 people read that statement, their minds clamp shut like a steel trap. They refuse to believe it’s really possible for them.
In one sense, they’re right. They never will be Saints, because they refuse even to consider the possibility.
St. Louis de Montfort wasn’t like that. He knew Jesus couldn’t command the impossible when He said: “Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.” And he believed Jesus when He said: “All things are possible with God.”
He remembered Jesus’ words: “For I have given you an example, that as I have done to you, so you do also” (Jn. 13:15). And he acted on His words by submitting himself to Mary. As he said:
“Having, then, before our eyes an example so plain and so well-known to the whole world, are we so senseless as to imagine that we can find a more perfect or a shorter means of glorifying God than that of submitting ourselves to Mary, after the example of her Son?” (“True Devotion to Mary”, #139).
And this was the primary book he used to help him do that.
He said he had “read nearly all the books which profess to treat of devotion to Our Lady” (TD, #118).
This would have included the writings of the Saints. Yet, this was his favorite. This book had such a profound influence on him that Canon Blain, his best friend said:
“As Louis-Marie devoted a lot of time to spiritual reading, he became familiar with nearly all books dealing with the spiritual life. Those which in my opinion were his favorites were those by the late Fr. Boudon. He would have liked everybody to join the society of the slaves of the Blessed Virgin. The source of this zeal was the book (“The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”) written on this subject by the late Fr. Boudon.”
What’s more, Montfort Father Jean-Marie Texier wrote:
“The writings of this holy priest (Fr. Boudon) charmed the fervent seminarian (St. Louis-Marie) in his free time and gave a lively impulse to his momentum toward the good. But none captivated him as much as “The Holy Slavery of the Admirable Mother of God”. It is a rich repertoire from which Montfort drew extensively when he composed his Treatise on the True Devotion. One finds, in effect, in the writings of Montfort, the thoughts of Boudon, and sometimes even his expressions.”
This book helped him imitate Jesus to the point where he confided to a lady that Mary was so present in his soul, so profoundly graven on his heart, that, after God, he could neither move nor act except “in her, by her, and for her.”
That should be enough to convince you of the merits of this book.
And that’s why it’s called an “apprenticeship program” for aspiring Saints.
The Book of Proverbs says: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but the ends thereof lead to death” (14:12). But this book gives you the certainty of being on the right path.
Now, St. Louis de Montfort has long been recognized as an expert in Marian devotion.
Therefore, if you think it’s possible for him to give you a bad recommendation on a Marian book, then you definitely need to keep your money and pass on this book.
Because in order for this book to help you, you have to believe it can. Belief is so important the Gospels tell us Jesus Himself couldn’t work miracles at Nazareth without it. “He could not do any miracles there, because of their unbelief.”
And He’s God! That’s how important your belief is.
On the other hand, if you don’t want to miss out on the easy-to-apply secrets which captivated St. Louis and took him to the heights of Marian devotion, why don’t you give this book a try? Fair enough?
