Three hand-colored folding maps. Front endpapers printed with advertisements. 450, [6]pp; 8 x 6 in. *** Fair. Front hinge cracked and front cover hanging by cords; back hinge strong. Corners split and covers lightly soiled; backstrip damaged with portions having flaked off including entire bottom inch and fragments of right side, impacting gilt title and illustrations, which are quite faded; open tear (4 x 2 in.) to outside top corner of ffep; closed horizontal tear across middle of most of frontispiece leaf; remainder of text tight and clean with occasional light foxing. Prairie and Wood and Geological map missing top of map (cutting off mid-way through northernmost counties); Population map is complete with marginal chipping only affecting borders.
