David Siller's debut collection ...& Other Improprieties delivers a model of worship that attends not to the skies above but every quotidian detail of our days. He has constructed an poetic Versailles, drawing richly on a beloved second language, French. These poems fly the reader on an itinerary of wonder and surprise.

Poet, editor, translator, occasional actor, director & producer, David G. Siller studied Francophone African & Caribbean literature, focusing on poetry and theatre. He is a voracious reader; a film, tv, and comic book buff; and knows more about French hip hop than you could possibly imagine. His poems have appeared, among other places, in "100 Poets Against The War," "Newtown Literary," "The Ekphrastic Review," and at the website waxyandpoetic.com. This is his first collection. He currently calls Queens, New York home, though his soul wanders the streets of Paris.
