Language: English. ABOUT THE BOOK: The book starts with an address to the issue of corruption and how it is drastically affecting the country. The Problem of the citizen's grievances had become accentuated in the past years as a result of several political, economic and social developments and a general deterioration in standards of administrative efficiency and integrity and the people's dissatisfaction with the administration grew substantially. So the author tried to find out why did these institutions failed to deliver effectively? Which kind of mechanism, the country must have to address the grievances to its citizens. The author has gone through the institutional development of the Ombudsman in different countries along with India. To under better the office of Ombudsman and its feasibility in India, he had compared the Ombudsman in Sweden, United Kingdom and India. The author found some issues in the "The Lokpaland Lokayuktas Act, 2013" which have been highlighted. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Anil Kumar Vishwakarma was born and brought up in district Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh. He completed Bachelor in Science (B.Sc) and Masters in Political Science(M.A) from M.J.P Rohilkhand University, Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh and further went on to do LL.B from Faculty of Law, University of Delhi and LL.M from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. He worked as a Legal Researcher with Justice Swatanter Kumar (Ex. Judge, Supreme Court of India), Chairperson, National Green Tribunal (PB), New Delhi. He presented a paper on "Water Management, Development and Safeguards : Need For Participatory Approach" in a workshop organised by National Law University, Delhi in association with School of Oriental and Africal Studies, London and UK India Education & Research Initiative, New Delhi on 10April, 2015. He was among the speakers in Television programme campus debate on "Do we need to have a relook at Juvenile Justice Act ?" which was host and telecast by Rajya Sabha channel held at Indian Law Institute, New Delhi. Presently, he is an Assistant Professor in Faculty of Law, University of Delhi. The customer do not have to pay any extra charges at the time of delivery but if your Country charges VAT and customs that has to be born by the customer.
