Wings can no longer be hidden when the blood moon forces every secret into the light

Princess Kira's greatest test of her life is just beginning. When the ancient blood moon rises over the war games - a traditional competition between the armies of Latavia and Romaland - it triggers a mystical judgment that transforms everyone on the field. The cruel become monsters. And those who have lived with compassion evolve into something extraordinary.

As soldiers on both sides panic over transformations that reveal their true natures, Kira must contend with threats from every direction. Prince William, the power-hungry ruler of Romaland, has consumed magical creatures to gain their abilities and now plots to exploit the chaos. Charles, Kira's former mentor and trusted knight, has turned saboteur - kidnapping Kira and undermining both armies in a desperate bid to stop evolution and preserve the old order he fears losing.

With her kingdom fracturing, Kira makes a daring choice: she stops hiding. Standing before both armies with her wings spread wide, she declares what she truly is and challenges everyone to face the blood moon's mirror honestly. But inspiring words alone cannot stop a prince who has become something barely human, a traitor who believes he is saving civilization, or ancient forces stirring beneath the earth.

Kira and Henry must race against the blood moon's seven-day countdown to unite two hostile armies, expose the conspiracies tearing them apart, and prove that choosing peace over violence and acceptance over fear is not weakness - it is the only path to survival.

A story about identity, courage, and the transformative power of truth, Book 4 of the Kira and Henry Series, War Games, combines epic fantasy adventure with timely themes of acceptance and the cost of hiding who you really are.

For fans of Shadow and Bone and An Ember in the Ashes—a princess with forbidden wings must choose between hiding her truth and saving her kingdom.

She has been a finalist in most of the major contests, Nicholls, Page International and Austin Film Festival.Sandi grew up on an avocado farm in Escondido and was the "go to" kid to climb up high and pick the top fruit. She would then jump down into the thick pile of leaves and thought she could fly! She created this young adult fantasy series, Kira and Henry, where the teen princess must hide the secret that she can fly or be banished from the kingdom. The first book, Kira and Henry: Quest into the Forbidden Lands, was a 2nd Rounder in 2023 Austin Film Festival and a 2024 Kindle Book Review finalist. In her first Native American fellowship, she wrote Technically Soccer, a half-hour comedy about a Women's Professional Soccer team getting an AI-Robot coach. Sandi is an avid women's soccer fan; she coached and played soccer for over twenty years. Blood Moon Wolf (TV Pilot and Feature) was completed as part of her 2nd Native American fellowship, about a wolf who turns into a girl to become a spirit guide. Her middle-grade book, Sleep Warrior, about her Cherokee ancestor, was #3 on Coverfly's Red List of Animated Manuscripts. To get her message into schools, she is seeking a more traditional publisher for her Native American Sleep Warrior series. As a Floridian and a long-time Disney fan, annual passholder, and certified Disney expert, Sandi wrote Pixie Dust Death set at Disney World, then created a non-Disney version, Wilma Wallaby Genius Girl Detective, set at a theme park she invented, with a web series in production.
