Item description from seller

VOLUMES I and II ONLY of a three volume set. Special edition (as stated upon both volumes' front boards and further anointed on Vol. 1's page 7 as being among the first 500 copies printed but with no number or subscriber name provided). Both hardcover, H 23.5cm x L 16cm, uniformly bound in blue cloth; light scuffing and bumping at spine ends; some dulling/flaking to Vol. 1 spine's gilt stamping but otherwise gilt stamping to front board and to Vol. 2's front board and spine remain fairly bright. Some toning and a few stains to volumes' text block edges; both volumes have past owner's four-line ink inscription upon their front free endpapers and light toning mostly occurring along endpaper gutters. Bindings are firm. VOLUME I: copyright 1965; 511 pages; lacks dust jacket other than an edge-worn rear flap laid-in between pages 50-51; a few spots of soiling to ffep; top corner of pages 147-148, 159-190, 191-192, and 205-206 creased from past fold-downs; past owner's two-line note on rear pastedown with corresponding circle amongst some text on page 161; no other markings readily apparent upon a quick perusal but others may be present. VOLUME II: copyright 1966; 511 pages; no markings or creased corners upon a quick perusal. OCLC indicates a third volume was published but not present with this set. Please note that this two volume set has an approximate shipping weight of 5.5 pounds (2.49 kg) and may require additional postage for any postal class other than domestic Media Mail.
