2 of 2 volume set. Light clay-colored boards with very bright gilt, green and dark pink, including title, florals, death masks and author box. Spine has similar layout but is mildly faded. Both volumes are tight, square and fairly sharp-cornered, with only minor scuffing and edgewear to the bottom of the spines. Both volumes have fine tissue guarded frontispieces and are totally free of markings and flaws. Volume I includes a preface to the 1834 and the 1850 edition and each volume has 7 full page plates, some photos, some illustrations by Boulanger and others.
