The Last Million by Ian Hay (pseudonym of General John Hay Beith). Hardback, undated but circa 1918-9 (introduction dates from July 1918), possible first edition, published by Hodder and Stoughton, London, xxxv + 271 pages. Octavo/8vo, measures around 5 1/5" by 7 1/2" by 1 1/4" No dust jacket. Sky blue cloth binding, black lettering to front board and spine Some marking and scuffing to binding. Signs of wear, rubbing at edges and on hinges. Bumped corners and a little tearing to head and tail of spine. Book has very slight forward tilt. Slackness to binding but contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed, foxed and a bit otherwise marked. Some foxing to endpapers, previous owner name to front free endpaper.
