Synopsis
The production of livestock products has witnessed a remarkable rise in recent years, especially in developing countries, and this upward trend is expected to persist in the coming future. The most significant increases are observed in the production of poultry and pigs, as well as eggs and milk. Livestock production is an efficient utilization of resources, including those that may otherwise go unused, and provides a valuable source of high-quality protein and essential micronutrients to supplement the human diet.
