A square challah cover. A round kippa. A delicious triangular hamantaschen cookie! Everywhere we look, we can find exciting shapes.

Just as shapes are basic concepts that young children learn, an understanding of Jewish identity and a connection to the Jewish people must begin at a young age. The Shapes of Israel brings that connection to readers through an educational scavenger hunt to find shapes and colours while learning about Israel and the Jewish people.

This book will help children internalize their sense of belonging to the Jewish nation as they learn about their strong bond and historical connection to the Land of Israel. Children can connect to the different ways that being Jewish is experienced and foster a sense of pride in their Jewish identity.
