TITLE CONTINUED: to be as fruitful in all manner of Grain, Pulse, and Grass, as the best grounds whatsoever. Together with the annoyances and preservation of all Grain and Seed, from one year to many years. As also a husbandly computation of Men and Cattels dayly labours, their Expences, Charges, and utmost Profits. Now newly the fourth time revised, corrected and amended, together with many new Additions, and cheap Experiments. For the bettering of Arable, Pasture, and Woody Grounds: Of making good all Grounds again, spoiled with over-flowing of salt water by Sea-breaches; as also the enriching of the Hop-garden, and many other things never published before, 1649. 8vo approximately 190 x 130 mm, 7½ x 5½ inches, 10 small woodcut illustrations in the text, decorated initials, pages: [12], 1-158, rebound in quarter calf, marbled boards, gilt lettered green label, gilt rules and date between raised bands to spine, black endpapers. Lower margin of title page slightly ragged, 5 leaves affected by a largish pale brown stain with tide marks (see image), 3 lower outer corners have tips missing, not near text, pale brown stain to 4 leaves at beginning, occasional tiny spot and nick, otherwise a good copy. This work was first published in 1620 and was also included in a collected edition of Markham's works entitled A Way to Get Wealth first published in 1628, See: F.
