Full calf (Originally issued in green card wraps). Front cover and front free endpaper detached, but present. 3 inch chip with leather missing to head of spine. Age spotting to first 35 pages or so. 229,+ 10 (Appendix). pp. Appears untrimmed, with nice, wide margins. (Howes H780). Hull invaded Canada, then surrendered without a fight. While a difficult record to defend, Hull does so with vigor. American invasions of Canada have not been crowned with success and perhaps it should be noted that Benedict Arnold came closest. (Hull served as Governour of the Territory of Michigan, and served as Brigadier General in the military.
