A Rare Roman Missal, 1939, with Manuscript Inscription Missale Romanum, printed in Rome by Domus Editorialis Marietti, 1939. A finely produced Roman Catholic liturgical missal issued according to the Tridentine tradition and revised under Popes Pius X and Benedict XV. The volume retains its original title page, printed in Latin, featuring the papal emblem and publication details. Bound in a dark contemporary binding, the book exhibits signs of age and devotional use, including light foxing, minor edge wear, and a manuscript inscription on the front endpaper. The inscription, dated 1944, adds an element of provenance and personal history. A noteworthy example of early 20th-century Catholic liturgical printing, reflecting the enduring use of the traditional Roman Rite prior to the liturgical reforms of the Second Vatican Council. Condition: Light foxing and scattered age spots throughout; minor creasing to several leaves; manuscript inscription to front endpaper; binding with expected wear consistent with age and use. Overall well preserved.…
