He won a Pulitzer Prize for his book The Supreme Court in United States History (1922).[2] He was also a lawyer. During the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, Warren served as Assistant Attorney General from June 1914 to April 1918,[3] and drafted the Espionage Act of 1917. Warren was born in Boston, Massachusetts,[1] and graduated from Harvard University in 1889, and also was a graduate of Harvard Law School. He received his doctor of laws degree from Columbia Law School in 1933.
