At the same time, we were also churning out 1 million Engineering B.Techs & half a million MBA’s annually deep in the interior of rural India. More than 80% of them end an expensive education without a job, with their parents deep in debt.Could we not groom some of them selectively to become Entrepreneurs and jobcreators rather than jobseekers? Can’t we harness their talent to settingup technologyled Manufacturing Industry in their neighborhood. Such enterprises would not only create productive lifelong employment in rural India, but obviate the need for social doles which only breed corruption, laziness and beggars. It is only an issue of establishing the right ecosystem. Author has coupled his 40 years of direct and indirect experience in promoting thousands of young Technoentrepreneurs in diverse fields with his recent involvement in Higher Technical Education and effort to reorient it away from rote towards Application. What has emerged in this process is his pioneering concept of sandwiching Technical Education with grooming for Entrepreneurship in the latterhalf of education. He thereafter raised Punjab Tractors Ltd, to commercialise this Swaraj technology, India’s first largescale venture in Indian Technology and pitted against intense competition from CKDbased global brandnames. He then led PTL as its CEO for 27 years into an internationally known Bluechip flagship of the Rs. 1500 crore Swaraj Group: Swaraj Mazda; Swaraj Engines & Swaraj Automotives. Orders usually ship within 2 business days. Shipping costs are based on books weighing 2.2 LB, or 1Kgm. If your book order is heavy or oversized, we may contact you to let you know extra shipping is required. We give extra discount for the bulk purchase orders. Our prices includes shipping charges. The customer do not have to pay any extra charges at the time of delivery but if your Country charges VAT and customs that has to be born by the customer.
