This is the first volume under this title originally published in October, 1961. This is the sixth printing May, 1964. Over-sized hardbound (quarto). No wear to the binding, but the mostly white cloth binding is stained (probably cooking stains). The front hinge shows a split but is still strong. Pages tight clean no marks, no stains. Hardcover. Etat : Collectable, very good. Original hardcover 2 volume set. Volume 1 is first (1961) edition stated second (November 1961) printing, volume 2 is first (1970) edition stated first printing. Both books are like new with slightest spot on outer page edges, volume 1 spine ever so slightly tanned, no jacket. Volume 2 cover is like new, jacket has slightest wear, 12.50 price. Selling for relatively low price due to Volume 1 lacking the jacket.
