An Introduction to the Galactic Language of Light

The Mayan Oracle is composed of forty-four cards--twenty Mayan star-glyphs, thirteen numbers, and eleven “lenses of the mystery.” Together, the glyphs and numbers form the Tzolkin, the “sacred round” of the Mayan calendar. However, the Tzolkin is far more than just a calendar. It is also a galactic code to the workings of the universe. Within this sacred code, each glyph can be considered a different aspect or “face” of the Creator. And each of the 260 possible combinations of glyphs and numbers offers a particular expression of those faces. The lenses in turn offer new ways of looking at reality, based on the new paradigm of the times that are emerging. In combination, the glyphs, numbers, and lenses form a powerful mandala of transformative energies.

While other systems deal beautifully with the awareness of your Earth self, The Mayan Oracle is designed to offer you a galactic perspective: Who are you in relation to the Divine One? How can you experience the world and your personal issues differently, based on realizations through your Essence Self? What have you come to Earth to learn and contribute? The Mayan Oracle works by encouraging you to interact with Spirit. The symbols on the cards are encoded with deep wisdom, and your calling on any one of them evokes the presence of that wisdom. Through evocation, ritual, and meditational work, you establish a personal “resonance,” or direct communication with each of the symbols, creating a kind of conduit through which to receive their galactic energies. These energies can then contribute to your growth and unfoldment, as well as to that of the planet.

Perhaps most practically, The Mayan Oracle helps you integrate the “shadow” aspects of yourself--your fears, doubts, difficulties, and blocks. Each time you interact with one or more of these cards, you help to transform old ways of seeing, doing, and being.

The shadow part of self is often viewed by the ego as “bad,” when in actuality it is a very potent and creative force. The disowned or unconscious parts of ourselves (most often indicated by our “charged” reactions to people and situations) are truly the keepers of great wisdom. Shadow is simply the face of the light that is unseen. Through working with it, you are provided the opportunity of healing yourself and living a more fully integrated life. Deep, dark, unfathomable primal waters, I Am. Tenderly do I cradle in you the mystery of becoming. Receive nourishment from my primordial depths.

Imix sounds a call in your life to go beneath the surface, to plumb your own primal depths. Go to the abundant wellspring of the life force to find the nourishment for which you yearn. In trust and receptiveness is found the source of movement. From the primordial waters of unity flows the spiral of eternal emergence. Allow others to give fully to you, for in that receptivity the circuit of love is completed.

The entire universe is made up of love. Give and receive. If you are not fully receiving the gifts offered by the universe, you can short-circuit your connection with the natural spirals of growth. Give freely and unconditionally without attachment to how your gift is received. Dip into the deep well of self and fill your cup with sweet waters. Offer this gift unconditionally. Trust in the situation at hand.

Primal trust means making choices moment by moment, with no guarantees. It means not trying to control the outcomes in your life. Trust your steering mechanism of heart-knowing. Trust the transformational processes that are at work in your evolution.

Call on Imix, the source of life, primal waters of creation, the root source, the primordial Mother, to nourish and care for you. In truly accepting this reservoir of sustenance, you will have unlimited resources to care for others as well as yourself. Remember that you are always embraced in the arms of the Divine, no matter what the exterior circumstances of your process or situation.

Shadow Wisdom

In the shadow of Imix are found issues of trust. Do you lack trust in the Universe to nurture you and provide what is needed for your journey? Do you feel unsupported in your life or caught in the struggle created by expectations? Any apparent lack of support actually bears a gift. You are being given a push in the direction of your primary being. Open to your connection to the source of life. Trust in the wisdom and abundance of the life force.
