Learning how to choose what to think about, is a necessary skill for success. You learned to walk by practicing, that is also how you learned to talk, to eat, laugh and read. Learned behaviors that have over time become instinctive. The same is true of worrying, it is a learned behavior that is rooted in fear of “What might happen if…”. It is time to take back control of what you focus on all day long. You are in control of your thoughts, so the first thing to do is to own that. You are not a victim of your thoughts, you choose what you think. This book will help youi let go of the crazy making thoughts that start and end in “Crazy town.” And teach you the practice of “Mindfulness”, a skill whch will help you learn ‘detachment’. Detachment does not mean you do not care, it means that you are re-taking control of your emotional buttons. “Our life is what our thoughts make of it.” Marcus Aurelius BUTTONS Have you ever gotten angry with someone because they deliberately provoked you because they know what your emotional “buttons” or “triggers” are?
