About “The Madcap Mishaps of Mister Mustache” Series“The Madcap Mishaps of Mister Mustache” series is based on a character invented over a dozen years ago by a grandmother for her young granddaughter who was afraid of the dark. Mister Mustache was a kind but absent-minded fellow who would often do ordinary things in the wrong way, giving her young listener an opportunity to laugh at his silly antics and interactively instruct him on how he should properly do things instead.
All those years ago, the stories were recited aloud at bedtime, with no written materials or pictures of any kind—just the imaginations of the grandmother creating them and the little girl listening to them.
Today, Mister Mustache and a slate of precious supporting characters have been brought to life for a new generation of kids—in books filled with colorful illustrations and humorous details perfectly designed for studying as each story unfolds.
The stories can be read out of order, but there are recurring characters whose personalities and relationships emerge and evolve over time. Children thrive on the familiar and enjoy seeing Gumdrop the cat, Fred the duck, Mister Mustache’s twin nieces, and other characters on a repeating basis—starting with Book 1 is definitely the way to go!
Mister Mustache books foster caring, helpfulness, and good manners through a light-hearted, amusing reading, listening, and viewing experience.
In short, they are “funny bedtime stories they’ll love going to bed for.”
