Second Thomas Wright edition, finely bound. Published in 1858, Wright's edition was considered the most complete of all the Victorian editions of the Morte d'Arthur. 3 vols, octavo (200 x 127 mm). Wood-engraved headpieces and initials, publisher's device to title pages. Contemporary sprinkled calf by Rivière, spines gilt-lettered direct to second compartments, brown morocco labels to third compartments, others elaborate gilt with foliate design, double gilt fillet with corner rosettes to boards, gilt inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, fore and bottom edges uncut.
