First published in 1940, this is a later printing (1954C-30 per Farah's 11th), with the "blue tweed" covers & "digger" endpapers, orig. text in 25 chapters, 220pages. Plain frontis by Russell Tandy. Condition is Good+: generally very clean, with the occasional smudge/light soil. Binding strong & straight, both hinges secure. Pages creamy white with mild tanning, but unmarked save for former owner's info in pen opposite title page. Slight corner bumping & rubbing to extremities. The price-clipped DJ (listing to ND#31 on front flap, CA#15 on rear flap, DJ#15 on back cover) is Fair: downgraded due to large chip from bottom outer corner of front cover & many other shorter chips & tears, heavy rubbing to extremities.
