Reliure : Hardcover
Etat du livre : Very Good Plus
Rebound copy of this impressive volume, with 30 fine color illustrations of these wonderfully exotic birds (bound with tissue coverings at rear), plus a color frontispiece. Consistent light browning throughout, but with very little to no spotting or foxing. The illustrations are bright and beautiful. The book appears to have been rebound in the late twentieth century, in quarter brown leather with two new full title silver stamped leather labels. The pages have been slightly shaved to make a neat volume, with the only loss I can discern that of a few small plate numbers in the upper right corner of the bird plates (basic reason book is not classified as near fine). Also there is a totally class act bookplate (about 13.5 x 10 cm) on the front pastedown, with a rider galloping on a horse with a black dog bounding underneath and a cock perched on the rider's raised hand (ex libris Patricia Hall). About 17 x 11.5 7 cm (approx. 6.7 x 4.5 in). N° de réf. du libraire 000001
