Two volumes, octavo (24.5 x 16cm), published at 3 guineas. A re-issue of the edition of 1859-60, though the two engraved titles here retain the 1859 dates. Vol. I, pp. xvi,254; Vol.II, pp. xii,368. With a total of 122 nature printed plates (plus the additional engraved titles) etched from original fern samples & printed in greens & browns. Some foxing & a few light stains but a pleasant set in a modern full calf binding, gilt. Vg. [Hall & Rickard 73; BM(NH) 1345; Nissen BBI 1401; Cave 115; Jackson 240].
