A propos de cet article

One of 2500 copies. Original publisher's beige paper-covered boards with a maroon and olive-yellow color illustration on front cover of people reading books and wearing what appear to be Renaissance-era clothes. Decorative olive-yellow rectangle on back. Black lettering on beige spine. 8" x 10 3/4." Pages 1-104, complete. Illustrations in black-and-white and color, complete. Advertisements for books, bookstores, and similar items and businesses in the back. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Binding is tight. A few sticky stains are on top edge of text block but do not affect text or illustrations. Small brown spot at tail of spine. Slight rubbing to covers and spine. Some bumping to corners and parts of the edges. Boards have light age toning throughout. A Very Good copy. Back colophon: "This Part Five of the Second Volume of The New Colophon, published by Duschnes Crawford, Inc. at New York, continues the franchise of the original Colophon, established in 1928 and published by the Pynson Printers, Inc., at New York. The New Colophon was printed by E. L. Hildreth & Company at Brattleboro, Vermont for 2500 subscribers, January 1949."
