A propos de cet article

One of 2500 copies. Original publisher's beige paper-covered boards with brown-purple and olive-yellow color illustration on front cover of people reading books and wearing what appear to be Renaissance-era clothes. Decorative olive-yellow rectangle on back. Black lettering on light brown (originally beige) spine. 8" x 10 3/4." Pages 311-406, complete. Black-and-white illustrations and occasional accents of color, complete. Advertisements for books, bookstores, and similar items and businesses in the back. Three ephemera laid in: announcement on yellow paper of The New Colophon becoming annual; business reply envelope for James F. Drake, Inc.; and a blank order form for the New Colophon. Pages and covers are very clean and intact overall. Binding is slightly loose at the top but is still holding. Slight rubbing to covers and spine. Slight bumping to corners and parts of the edges. Boards have light age toning throughout. Spine was beige but is now browned. Front cover has slight browning. A Very Good, almost Near Fine copy.
