Product Description: On June 6th, 1944, the Allied invasion of France began, an undertaking that involved 12,000 planes, 7,000 ships, and over 160,000 men on the first day alone. After a brief, but bloody struggle, the beachheads were secured, and the land campaign could begin. The Allied troops would face bitter fighting in the hedgerows of Normandy for the next month before Operation Cobra, the operation to break out from the Normandy beachhead, began. The battle for Normandy would go on for more than two months, with Allied troops pushing south and east into France. It would see counterattacks by the Germans at Mortain, and the closing of the Falaise pocket. It would include the liberation of Paris, and the German retreat across the Seine. At the end of August, the Commonwealth troops in the north would plan to move through the Low Countries, while the Americans attempted to push to the Rhine through Lorraine. The end of the war was growing nearer. This book presents ten exciting and balanced historical battles for Command Decision covering the fighting in the American sector from June to September 1944. These scenarios come complete with historical summaries, detailed maps, and carefully-researched orders of battle. OUR GRADING
*SW Shrink Wrapped. Still in the original factory shrink wrap, with condition
visible through shrink noted. For example, 'SW (NM)' means shrink wrapped in
near-mint condition.
*Mint Perfect. Brand new.
*NM Near Mint. Like new with only the slightest wear, many times
indistinguishable from a Mint item. Close to perfect, very collectible. Board
games in this condition may be played but show little to no wear.
*EXExcellent. Lightly used, but almost like new. May show very small spine
creases or slight corner wear. Absolutely no tears and no marks, a collectible
condition.
*VG VG Very Good. Used. May have medium sized creases, scuff marks, very small
stain, etc. Complete and very useable.
*Fair Very well used, but complete and useable. May have flaws such as tears,
pen marks or highlighting, large creases, stains, marks, a loose map, etc.
*PoorExtremely well used and has major flaws, which may be too numerous to
mention. Item is complete unless noted.
*More Notes Some items are listed as 'code/code.' The first code represents the box or book cover condition,
the second code describes the contents. When only one condition is listed, then the box or cover and contents are in the same condition. I
*A '+' (plus) sign indicates that an item is close to the next highest condition. Example, EX+ is an item between Excellent and Near Mint condition. A
