Early map of present day New England and Southern Canada from a German atlas ca. 1720 - there is no date but these appeared mainly in the 1716 - 1723 time frame. The image size is ca. 19.5" x 23" and paper size ca. 21" x 25 Coloring is good but there is overall darkening of paper with greater browning of the green near the center which may be due to old backing of the map. There is an attractive cartouche at the lower right showing Europeans trading with native Americans. The map was mapped and framed in the past and there is some old tape on the back- fortunately not on the map area. By today's standards the map is somewhat fanciful with shapes and locations quite inaccurate and with some features not really existing, but it is an interesting insight into the times. Map is good overall. Note that shipping will most likely be done with the map rolled up in a tube and cost outside the USA may be more expensive than an average book.
