A propos de cet article

An ORIGINAL c. 1900 late Victorian/Early Edwardian Full Colour loose leaf Advertisement for LIFEBUOY SOAP - formerly tipped into an old book - measuring 6.5" high x 4" wide. The illustration in Full Vibrant colour is of a fisherman looking out to sea and spotting a Lifebuoy with a large packet of Lifebouy Soap saved by the Lifebuoy! On the Reverse is Text Advertising Lifebuoy Soap = " Rescue Yourself and Others from contagion and Disease by Using LIFEBUOY Royal Disinfectant SOAP. Destroys all Microbes and Diseasr Germs. Cleans, Purifies and Sweetens the House." . , etc, etc. Lever, and many other firms, commissioned many now important artists to Advertise their wares for them in this way. An Absolutely Delightful Period piece of its time! . All these ads look great framed. At the time of listing I have many other similar ORIGINAL period adverts available. Images available on Request. ; 16mo 6" - 7" tall.…
