A limited 1975 edition of The Old Man and the Sea, bound in genuine blue leather boards with gilt lettering. Features four raised bands over binding with a 22kt gold embossed spine and borders, gilded page edging, blue moiré silk endpapers and a matching sewn in silk bookmark. Black and white illustrations by Daniel Schwartz. Book is in near fine condition. Scarce limited edition. Accented in 22kt gold, printed on archival paper with gilded edges, smyth sewing & concealed muslin joints. Very sturdy and well made, tight binding feels like it has never been read before. Includes a never before seen portrait plate of Hemingway that was originally painted in the late 1920's. A like-new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. Cover has no visible wear, no missing or damaged pages, no creases or tears, and no writing in the margins. Spine and both covers in perfect condition. See pictures for details.
