A propos de cet article

1994 Gibbs Smith (Salt Lake City, Utah), oblong 12 1/4 x 10 7/8 inches tall burgundy faux leather hardcover iin publisher's unclipped dust jacket, silver lettering to front cover and spine, 71 pp. Very slight soiling and rubbing to covers. Tiny bit of staining to blank front free-endpaper. Otherwise, a very good to near fine copy - clean, bright and unmarked - in a lightly sun faded dust jacket which is nicely preserved and displayed in a clear archival Brodart sleeve. Note that this is a heavy and oversized book, so additional postage will be required for international or priority orders. ~Y~ [3.0P] The words 'open country' often give the illusion of a visual frontier without limits. Yet much about this muscular, sculptural landscape remains to be celebrated, and photographer Jay Dusard has been doing so for almost three decades. From Alberta to Sonora, Dusard has photographed the North American West, at times in the parks and monuments, but more often in the rangelands and desert country between the national shrines. Jay works in black-and-white with 4x5 and 8x10 view cameras and, since 1991, with a 4x10-inch superwide panoramic camera of his own design and construction. …
