Do you think extraordinary things only happen to other women?
Christy Shell, the self-described ordinary girl turned author, coach, entrepreneur and dyslexic overachiever, is here to challenge you to think again. She wrote her first book for women who want to explore future careers or design a successful life that has meaning, no matter how prosperous or humble their beginnings. Readers will also find inspiration and value here if life has not turned out exactly as they had hoped and they are looking to get back on track.
Based on Christy’s 20 years of experience and education, this book is your map to finding an extraordinary life and vocation. The motivation and self-improvement techniques in this book are the basis for her proven coaching programs for achievement.
The concept is simple, every human, even you, have three “people” that live inside of us: Your Soul, Your Person, Your Social Self. Christy calls this your Personal Trilogy. When understood and aligned with each other, we are generally happy and content. When misunderstood and not aligned, we are usually out of sorts to miserable.
Your Personal Trilogy:
Your Soul is the magical part of you, your essence. It has come with a unique purpose. Learning how to listen to your soul and spirituality is an untapped skill most people never learn or value. Listening can lead you to understand your unique purpose, and living according to your Soul’s Goal.
Your Person is your natural attributes both physical and intellectual. It is your biology and natural personality. Fully examined for its natural gifts, you can utilize, celebrate and translate these into to a career and life that has meaning for you.
Your Social Self is all the things you have learned from the world (family, community, media, etc.) since you were born that helped form your values and the hidden rules you live by. These values have created your mindset and behaviors that contribute or hinder the life you want to live.
Christy outlines these three areas with questions, tools and techniques that get you on the road and wraps up the book with the keys to successful alignment, making self-exploration practical and potentially life-changing.
With many stories of others who have taken the journey from a ho-hum or challenging life to an extraordinary one, readers will be inspired to see how their ordinary life can also be extraordinary, no matter who you are.
As Christy explains, “First, discover your unique gifts and divine purpose, then figure out how to offer those courageously to the world.”
