Are you tired of tutorials that show you how to make a Spring Boot application run, but leave you wondering how to make it fast, scalable, resilient, and ready for production?
Do you want to understand what Java 21 actually changes for modern backend development?
Can you confidently choose between traditional JVM deployment and native compilation when your application has real performance and operational requirements?
PRACTICAL SPRING BOOT 4 with JAVA 21 is designed to help you move beyond basic examples and approach modern Spring development from an engineering perspective.
Instead of treating frameworks and features as isolated topics, this book connects them to the problems developers encounter when applications become larger, busier, and more demanding. You will explore how modern Spring Boot applications are designed, optimized, tested, deployed, observed, and maintained.
Inside, you will discover practical guidance on:
Building modern Spring Boot applications — understand the architecture and development practices needed to move from simple projects toward production-quality systems.
Working with Java 21 — explore modern language and runtime capabilities and understand where they provide genuine engineering value.
Using virtual threads effectively — learn how modern concurrency can improve applications dominated by blocking operations while understanding the resource limitations that still matter.
Exploring GraalVM and native images — understand the benefits, trade-offs, and practical considerations behind native deployment.
Designing cloud-native microservices — work through service communication, configuration, discovery, API gateways, and distributed-system concerns.
Improving application performance — learn how to benchmark, profile, load-test, identify bottlenecks, and optimize based on evidence rather than assumptions.
Building resilient systems — understand caching, timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, bulkheads, and failure-handling strategies that help prevent small problems from becoming major outages.
Testing with production confidence — strengthen applications through unit testing, integration testing, API verification, realistic infrastructure testing, and failure-path validation.
Deploying and operating safely — learn practical approaches to continuous integration, release strategies, health checks, observability, rollback planning, and production incident response.
Imagine opening a Spring Boot project and knowing not only how to make the feature work, but also how it will behave under concurrent traffic, dependency failures, growing workloads, and real production pressure.
Imagine being able to examine a slow endpoint, identify the actual bottleneck, measure the improvement, and make an informed engineering decision.
That is the mindset this book is built to develop.
Whether you are strengthening your existing Spring Boot skills or preparing to build more demanding Java backend systems, this guide gives you a practical path from development to production.
Stop building applications that merely work. Start building systems designed to perform, scale, survive failure, and evolve. Get your copy today and put modern Spring Boot and Java 21 to work.

Description de la boutique
We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first visit or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book. We are a company who put our customers at the centre of everything we do as we understand the importance of reading because once you learn to read, you will forever be free. There are a whole lot of things in this world of ours that we are yet to explore, which is why we will forever inspire curious minds.…
