First series, 1891, pp106. Second series, 1889, pp126. Olive green cloth boards which are marked and bumped at the edges/corners. Titles in black on the front cover; in gilt down the spine. The latter is also bumped at the head and tail, while the spine/covers join is a little rubbed in places. Both series are illustrated by artists including E. Burne Jones, W. Holman Hunt and John Tenniel. The frontispiece (The Light of Faith by Holman Hunt) has a tissue guard; which is very tanned - see photo. Indeed, most of the pages are toned; especially the endpapers. The ffep has inscriptions in ink (dated May 31st 1892), pencil and library stamp marks (see photo). As far as one can tell these are the only indicators of an ex-library origin. 160 x 205mm.
