A propos de cet article

Amazon Best-Seller in Literature & Fiction The tranquil apartment building on Rue des Martyrs holds secrets, tumultuous relationships and strangers whose lives entwine in intriguing and unexpected ways. Rafael Mendez arrives in Paris one rainy night looking for a trace of his birth mother. Instead, he finds himself tangled in a web of lies and facing startling discoveries about his family. His path crosses with those of Cecile, Andre and Mira, who also are on life-changing quests: to uncover family secrets, to grasp a new chance at love and to repair mistakes of the past. Will they help each other move forward, or will the truths they unravel leave them shattered forever? A riveting, what-happens-next read. - Lisa Barr, award-winning author of Fugitive Colors Book club discussion guide included. This novel can be read as a standalone or as part of the From Paris to Provence series. Each book in the series brings to life its own unique characters yet all books share the vibrant and captivating setting of France. Interview with the Author What was your inspiration to write Paris, Rue des Martyrs? City life inspired me. The idea that every day, we might pass the same people as we walk down the street, yet what do we know about their lives? What would happen if our paths crossed? One of my favorite genres is literary fiction, so I decided to write a novel in that vein about life-changing encounters, liaisons and entwined paths. What kind of story is Paris, Rue des Martyrs? I hope it will be an emotional read. Paris, Rue des Martyrs is about the importance of encounters. It is a story of family, friendship and coming of age. It is about love and loss, and healing wounds of the past. And it is a Paris love story, of course. It's not your classic Paris romance, but rather a different take of the types of relationships one encounters in this fabulous city: a French affair with a twist. Many books have been written with Paris as the setting. What sets yours apart? A lot of books are about the Paris of berets and baguettes. Paris, Rue des Martyrs is about the reality of Paris life. living in a Montmartre neighborhood, sitting at a caf , being Parisian by adoption in this melting pot of a city. So this book is part of a series? Yes and no. Each novel in the From Paris to Provence series brings to life its own unique characters and can be read as a standalone, but all books share the vibrant and captivating setting of France: - A Perfumer's Secret - Paris, Rue des Martyrs - The Creepshow If you enjoy stories of encounters, family secrets & relationships, I think you'll enjoy Paris, Rue des Martyrs. Thanks for reading.…
