Has original maroon publisher’s binding with gilt lettering on spine and embossed rectangle on front and back with embossed publisher’s mark on back. Some minor foxing at the front on tissue overlay of frontispiece and occasionally through the text. Otherwise, very clean copy. Illustrations intact and very interesting.Good Condition: 8vo: maroon cloth publisher’s binding with gilt on spine: geometric band at head and tail of spine in gilt with line below and above, respectively: gilt lettering for title and author: speckling on front and back: scuffing at edges and corners: fading to spine: shiny appearance on first spare facing front board: foxing at beginning most especially on tissue overlay: illustrations intact both in text and full plates: “The Past and Present of New Zealand with its Prospects for the Future” with numerous illustrations: Rev Richard Taylor: London: William MacIntosh: 1868.
