Original Brown cloth, gilt , tooled in blind. xl, 130pp plus 3pp. Fold-out map of Derbyshire as frontis with small tear (2cm) on fold. 2 plans and 1 fold-out plan of Chatsworth pp 34, 35 and 36. 2 fold-out genealogical tables and 3 full page engravings pp 17, 82 and 118. Slightly worn copy with 3.5 cm tear to head of spine, some soiling and sunning to boards, age browning to page margins and very occasional foxing to contents. Upper hinge tender o/w a nice copy. A wonderful period piece. VG+.
