Edition of 100 copies. 8vo. Pp. xi, 212, 5 engravings by Ricketts, the 6th engraving being a bookplate designed and engraved by William Bell Scott, all with tissue guards, printed on Japon vellum. Full vellum covers, stamped to both upper and lower covers with cascading petal motif. Gilt heart shape enclosing an angel in upper right corners, all enclosed in a gilt double-frame, gilt lettering and petal motif to spine. Slight tanning at the top edge interior margins, else interior clean and crisp. Slit in the vellum at the upper fore-edge along gilt frame, slit in vellum along frame near joint of lower cover, covers bowed. Overall, very good. Ricketts and his friend Charles Shannon founded The Dial, a magazine, which had five issues from 1889 to 1897, and the Vale Press, named after their house, The Vale, in Chelsea, London.
