Collated complete.Best known for his Waverly novels and profound influence on historical fiction, Scott was a renowned poet and praised by Byron as one of the best poets in his contemporary Romantic era. These four particular poems are exemplars of his literary talent being deemed on noteworthy importance and highly instructive. In decorated white vellum. Externally, smart, with the odd small mark to board extremities. Slight fading to the spines. Gold crests on boards in tact. Marble end papers are in excellent condition. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with the small odd spot to extremities of first and last leaves. Browning to frontispieces and decorative title leaves.
