A propos de cet article

Three nonconsecutive issues (Sept. 29, 1917 ; Nov. 14, 1917 ; Feb. 26, 1919) of an independent political newspaper, published on alternative Thursdays by the "Nutcracker" Publishing Syndicate, in Calgary, Alberta. All issues c. 11.5 inches tall, pp. 16, illustrated with the visual language of political cartoons, photo reproductions and ads. Volumes variously toned, else clean throughout. The Alberta Non-Partisan was the "Official publication of the Non-Partisan League, an agrarian protest movement. From 17 November 1916 to [September?] 1917, issued under the title Nutcracker. [*n.b. 1st issue w. new title "The Alberta Non-Partisan" was issued Sept. 29, 1917] In 1919, Alberta Non-Partisan is absorbed by Western independent, the official publication of the United Farmers of Alberta."
