An antiquarian collection of 126 short biographies of elders of the Primitive Baptist Church born in the 1700's and 1800's. Each biography includes a photograph or drawing of each elder in black and white, where they were from, churches they pastored, and other attributes to each gentleman. Biographies are from elders across the United States, and some from England. Bound in dark brown publisher's cloth with gray lettering and decoration on the cover. This book is oblong, measuring 4" tall x 7" wide x 1" thick. Biographies are vertical, and are one per page, printed on the recto (right) side only. Unpaginated.States represented with elder biographies are: Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Tennessee, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, Texas, Indiana, North Carolina, Georgia, Oregon, Ohio, Washington, Alabama, California, Kansas, and Nebraska.
