The Power Workbook: Part of the Circle Blueprint System By Jack Skeen, Greg Miller, and Aaron Hill
The Power Workbook is one of four supplemental workbooks that are included in The Circle Blueprint System. The system also includes a book—The Circle Blueprint: Decoding the Conscious and Unconscious Factors that Determine Your Success, by Jack Skeen, Greg Miller, and Aaron Hill—and a confidential scientifically validated psychometric self-assessment. The self-assessment is free with purchase of The Circle Blueprint.
In The Circle Blueprint, the authors pinpoint four developmental areas that, once examined and mastered, can help you thrive. These four areas—Independence, Power, Humility, and Purpose—make up your “Circle,” which the authors describe as a map of the choices you make every day. This particular workbook focuses on power.
Here is how The Circle Blueprint System works:
1. Read The Circle Blueprint.
2. Take the assessment. You will receive a score on the “Thriving Scale.”
3. Depending on which areas the assessment shows you need to work on, go to the appropriate workbook. Based on your unique score, you’ll see exactly where to begin the exercises. At that point, you may do as much or as little as you wish.
Here is some information on power:
When most people think about power, they focus on attaining and exerting it. Instead, say the authors, power should be viewed as discovering your own special, unique quality or skill that offers value to yourself and to the world.
Everyone has a “power center.” Some people find theirs early, while others never do. Others find it and use it in destructive ways. While often powerful, these folks are not great leaders.
When you have power, you believe in yourself. You are able to establish your own goals and move steadily toward them rather than being fully at the mercy of your circumstances. You are able to direct your energy and skills in a way that can bring about positive outcomes. In addition, you exude energy and enthusiasm (zest) and possess the self-discipline to do what must be done.
It’s crucial to master power, because without it, you aren’t running your life; your life is running you. You lack confidence in your ability to control your own motivation, behavior, and social environment. You lack the ability to discipline yourself in the service of reaching your own goals. Instead, you may find yourself wishing for things to occur, procrastinating, and wasting time. You may feel you have little energy, vitality, and vigor. What’s worse, you may have almost no ability to accept the truth about you, your circumstances, your life, and what is cutting you off from having true power.
After you’ve taken your assessment and received The Power Workbook, you may proceed at your own pace. You may do as much or as little of the exercises as you wish. However, the more exercises you complete, the closer you will become to creating a balanced, happy, thriving life. You deserve nothing less.
