This book presents select proceedings of the 10th International and 50th National Conference on Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power. It covers recent research developments in the area of fluid mechanics, measurement techniques in fluid flows, computational fluid dynamics. The key research topics discussed in this book are fundamental studies in flow instability and transition, fluid-structure interaction, multiphase flows, solidification, melting, cavitation, porous media flows, bubble and droplet dynamics, bio-mems, micro-scale experimental techniques, flow control devices, underwater vehicles, bluff body, bio-fluid mechanics, aerodynamics, turbomachinery, propulsion and power, heat transfer and thermal engineering, fluids engineering, advances in aerospace and defense technology, micro- and nano-systems engineering, acoustics, structures and fluids, advanced theory and simulations, novel experimental techniques in thermofluids engineering, and many more. The book is a valuable reference for researchers and professionals interested in thermo-fluids engineering.

Dr. Hardik Kothadia is currently working as an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur. He received his Ph.D. from IIT Bombay in the area of multiphase flows and heat transfer. He is a recipient of the National Award for Best M.Tech. Thesis from Indian Society for Technical Education. He received an excellence in Thesis Work Award for Outstanding Research Contributions in Ph.D. Work from IIT Bombay. He received teaching excellence award from IIT Jodhpur. His research areas include compact heat exchanger, direct steam generator, thermal energy storage, desalination, and multiphase flows analysis. He has published more than forty articles in reputed International Journals and National and International Conference proceedings. He is a life member of the National Society for Fluid Mechanics and Fluid Power and Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer.

Prof. Rajneesh Bhardwaj is currently serving as a professor in Mechanical Engineering Department at IIT Bombay, Mumbai, India. His research interests are in droplets, interfacial flows, and fluid-structure interaction. He earned Ph.D. with distinction from Columbia University, New York, USA, in 2010 and was a postdoctoral fellow at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA, before joining IIT in 2012. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences (NASI) and won Young Engineer Award from the Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) in 2014.

Prof. Jaywant H Arakeri was in the faculty of the Mechanical Engineering Department, the Centre for Product Design and Manufacture at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, till Jul 2022. He is currently an honorary professor at JNCaSR, Bangalore, and a visiting professor at IIT, Jodhpur. All his education has been in aeronautical engineering, B.Tech. (IIT, Madras), M.E. (IISc), and Ph.D. (Caltech). His research is primarily focused on the fundamental understanding of various phenomena in fluid mechanics. Some of the questions being addressed in his lab relate to the role of turbulence in condensation and droplet growth in clouds; flows around flexible surfaces like fish tails and heart valves; instability of unsteady flows, including those with curvature, like those found in arteries; heat and moisture loss from soils and leaves; and thermal management in polyhouses and aeroponic chambers.
