A propos de cet article

(iv), 32pp. Later 19thC half maroon cloth; sl. marked. Hodson pleaded not guilty to charges of making 'false and groundless complaints' after being refused entry to the regimental hospital, 'being kept in the dark' about hospital management and being wilfully disobedient in attending to a patient 'in direct opposition to his duty'. Despite a spirited defence, in essence that he was doing his duty as a surgeon in treating patients and that any errors he had made were due to youth and inexperience, he was found guilty by the court and dismissed the service.
