The book is divided into four core themes. The first one is both a theoretical and experiential background information on Public Private Partnerships(PPP) as applied globally, regionally and in Kenya on water governance and management. The second theme is about the nature and scope of PPPs in the water sector in Kenya by identifying various manifestations of PPPs in water service provision. This leads to an assessment of how each of the identified forms of PPPs actualizes themselves in each Water service provider in terms of organizational and managerial strategies as means of encountering the challenges of providing water as a service to the public. Finally, in its last theme, the book assesses the impact of the strategies adopted by different forms of PPP arrangements on service delivery in the water sector in terms of access, distance, quality, affordability and time taken to reach the targeted public as consumers. The book will be of interest to both undergraduate and post graduate students of Public Administration in general and of Public Policy, Water Governance, Policy and Management. Development practitioners and Policy implementers will also find it useful.
