A propos de cet article

The Radio-Telegraphist's Guide and Log-Book, A Manual of Wireless Telegraphy for the Use of Operators, by W. H. Marchant. No edition specified, published in 1912 by Whittaker & Co. Printed in Edinburgh. Contains 90 illustrations and a log book for communications. Navy blue bound boards show very minor signs of wear but are in very good condition. The spine has no signs of wear with very nice, clear and bright gilt lettering. The pages are all clear and in good condition, though the front endpaper and the title page have stamps from The Manchester Wireless Telegraph Training College. The front endpaper also has a small inscription from a previous owner. The back endpapers have small pencil inscription of Morse code translation, and another stamp. A very good copy of an interesting and useful book for radio-telegraphists. Seller Inventory #002500.

Description de la boutique

A small specialist bookseller with a passion for all aspects of the countryside, from farming to natural history, field sports and forestry. Particular fascination with all things to do with the history of the countryside. In searching for countryside gems, I often come across books wholly unrelated to my specialism and am always looking for great homes for these books. We are based in the Derbyshire Peak District and can source specialist books from this area. We also specialise in finding special books for gifts. So, if he special person in your life, or someone you would like to say thank you, has a particular interest and you have a budget, we can find a special book that means something to them. If they love birds and live in Kent, we will find something for you. If their passion is dairy cows, then we can find a book that tells the story of dairy farming in Britain. Working to a budget, we might be able to source a First Edition 'Origin of Species' (a big budget) or the biography of a pioneer in farming, natural history or field sports (a more modest budget). Because we know about books and are well networked, we can make an individual present special and meaningful.…
