A propos de cet article

Very good, brown buckram with illustrated hard cover and gray font on spine. xiv + 326 pps.Trans. Anne Sorelle Williams. Former owner's name on FEP, discoloration edge on first 3 pages otherwise interior, unmarked, clean, age toned. Cover faded along edge and cut line on spine.Spine tight and book is square. History of Jazz by famous French jazz critic. Still one of the finest books ever written on the origins of Jazz and its earliest stars, and surely the best one volume summation of the first fifty-years of its history, with chapters devoted to the instruments used and the best musicians who use them and why; about 80 page appendix lists the important musicians and their recordings.
