The 1881/1900 Revised Version stands as the authorized fourth. In 1870, the Convocation of Canterbury authorized the first and only official revision of the King James Bible. British scholars invited the finest linguistic minds in America to join the work. After sweating in lock-step collaboration for 30 years-longer than any translation or revision in English Bible history-the American Revision Committee completed the final revised masterpiece in 1900: The Revised Version (Standard American Edition) of the New Testament. The 1900 release stands as the third edition of the King James Bible-the Authorized Version, revised, purified, and perfected. But before the public could embrace the corrected Authorized Version, a publishing monopoly stepped in. Publisher Thomas Nelson stripped the authorized "Revised Version" name, rebranded the text as the "American Standard Version" (ASV), and buried the true King James legacy for over a century.Until now.The 2026 restoration from Truth Unredacted Publishing shatters the corporate deception.
