Bookplates in front and rear, ownership inscriptions in the front, first gathering a bit loose, generally very good otherwise. An early account of Salmon fisheries on the St Lawrence, the author Kettle was Superintendent of Fisheries for Lower Canada, and among the first to establish fish hatcheries in Canada. Included are chapters on fly-fishing and trout fishing.
